No matter how far you run from God, or whatever you have done—no matter how horrible—He loves YOU. God knows you better than you know yourself; He knows you perfectly. He knows your name and everything about you including the number of hairs you have on your head. “Indeed the very hairs of your head are numbered” (Luke 12:7 NIV). He created you, as Psalm 139:13 explains: God made all the delicate, inner parts of your body, and He knit you together in your mother’s womb (I encourage you to read Psalm 139:1 – 18). He loves YOU so very much that He has a special plan for your life: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
Having a good life here on earth is a worthy goal, but it’s not the most important reason to know Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. You want to live eternally in Heaven, not in Hell—so this is the most important reason to believe in Jesus Christ personally, and put your trust in Him.
